About Me

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Vogel Lab at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek, CA. I graduated with my Ph.D. from the McCouch lab at Cornell University in May, 2015, and graduated with a B.A. from Swarthmore College in 2010. I'm passionate about the power of plant genomics and DNA sequencing to improve rice and sorghum breeding efficiency and help meet the goal of doubling rice production by 2050. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, and martial arts.
